William was born on June 6th, 1837.  William's father was John Browning and his mother was Martha Braybrook (Browning).  His paternal grandparents were John Browning and Elizabeth Gosling (Browning); his maternal grandparents were Edward Braybrook and Catherine Linford (Braybrook).  He died at the age of 63 on March 8th, 1901.

They had five sons and a daughter, named Clyde, Harry, Jim, John, Oscar and Clara.
