Hannah was born in February 1834.  Hannah's father was George Washington Kimbler and her mother was Mary (Polly) Estepp (Kimbler).  Her paternal grandparents were Henry Sewell Kimbler and Annie (Kimbler). She had three brothers and two sisters, named Anderson, John, George, Catharine and Fanny.  She was the third youngest of the six children.
